Underhill Baptist Church has been a worshipping community in Elton Avenue since 1936, planted in response to the need
for a Christian church in the developing residential area at the bottom of Barnet hill. The church has continued to be a
witness to God’s grace and faithfulness in Barnet for over 80 years.
Our aim is to be a welcoming and caring Christian family helping people to grow in faith and enabling them to share the
good news about Jesus.
About Us
Our Mission is:
“To know Christ and to make Him known”
We are a friendly, multi-cultural community church who meet for worship on Sunday mornings at 10.30am.
Our services are informal and include a Bible based message, hymns (a mixture of traditional & new), prayer
and a time for sharing. Afterwards refreshments are served as we share a time of fellowship together.
On the 2nd Sunday of each month, we share communion together and everyone who loves the Lord Jesus Christ is
welcome to take part in this. We hope you will want to come and visit and get to know us and there will be a warm
welcome waiting for you if you do!
Hope Corner Community Centre & Cafe, managed by Barnet Churches,
is less than half a mile from us. This local hub enables us to meet many
different people in the week, build relationships, live out and share our
faith.
We are a member of the London Baptist Association (LBA) and the wider group of
Baptists Together (Baptist Union).
